Hidden Gems in Hungary

Isn't it funny how we rather want to fly overseas and visit warmer, chillier, more tropical places and so on, than explore our own home country? You are under the impression you've seen it all and don't expect much but it may surprise you what hidden gems your home can hold. You simply have to take the time to do some research and dare to go off the beaten track. That's how you find true treasures! I can't say these places are secret, however lets just say they're not as picked up and known by the public.

The first location is around Bokod and it's also known as the "floating village". It's quite hard to find and access it, therefore we had to ask a few locals to get there. Then we had lunch at a lovely castle "Károlyi Kastély Fehérvárcsurgó", I really recommend you to visit it. It provides you with amazing food, a beautiful garden and a very interesting museum. Then we continued our adventure in Székesfehérvár, an incredible historical town. Walking around, we noticed quite a few churches and museums. We decided to take a closer look at one of them, which was currently under construction and if observe diligently you can see a skeleton on the photo above. Pretty fascinating!
